Amadeus NDC normalizes NDC-sourced airline content into travel-seller search, booking and servicing workflows. The critical boundary is preserving **content source and servicing capability** through normalization.

## Source-aware model

The same itinerary can arrive from multiple sources. Preserve source lineage after deduplication.

## Capability matrix

Track per carrier:

- shopping,
- branded fares,
- baggage,
- seats/ancillaries,
- booking,
- ticketing/fulfillment,
- exchange,
- refund,
- voluntary/involuntary changes.

## Offer/Order boundary

NDC Offers are ephemeral. Provider/order references become separate state after booking. Do not use Offer ID as long-lived booking identity.

## Failure modes

- lost NDC/GDS source,
- assuming servicing parity,
- stale offer,
- entitlement gaps,
- unknown booking/order outcomes.

## Observability

Track NDC/GDS content mix, carrier response coverage, offer age, revalidation changes, unknown-order rate and servicing failures.
