D-EDGE is a multi-role hospitality technology provider that cannot be represented accurately with one category. Its official product surface spans CRS, Channel Manager, Booking Engine, GDS solutions and PMS/RMS/CRM/payment/distribution connectivity.

## Ecosystem role

D-EDGE touches three major layers:

- **Property / Inventory Systems:** CRS and central inventory,
- **Connectivity & Distribution:** Channel Manager, GDS and distribution connectivity,
- **Booking / Transaction:** Booking Engine and payment connections.

The entity should therefore remain singular while capabilities and ecosystem layers are modeled as multi-value metadata.

## CRS

D-EDGE's CRS combines central inventory, reservation, pricing/restriction management, distribution and direct-booking components. In this model the CRS is not merely a reservation screen; it acts as a distribution-orchestration layer.

## Channel Manager and ARI

The Channel Manager distributes rates, availability and restrictions to downstream booking channels while reservation messages modify inventory state. Important engineering concerns include:

- property / room / rate mapping,
- ARI idempotency,
- restriction propagation,
- reservation delivery,
- overbooking prevention,
- retry and reconciliation.

## Connectivity Hub

The official product surface separates PMS, RMS, OTA/distribution, payment, CRS and CRM connectivity. This is a useful example of why channel-management and connectivity-switch concepts should not be collapsed into one category.

## GDS and direct distribution

D-EDGE can connect hotel inventory into GDS networks. GDS distribution, OTA connectivity and direct booking may consume the same source inventory while still using different downstream protocols and commercial models.
