Refund / Reconciliation Mismatch Troubleshooting

Booking cancellation ile payment refund farklı lifecycle'lardır. Cancellation başarılı olsa bile refund incomplete, partial veya UNKNOWN kalabilir.

Symptom

• booking CANCELLED ama refund görünmüyor,
• refunded amount beklenenden farklı,
• partial refund iki sistemde farklı,
• payment provider REFUNDED gösteriyor ama local ledger stale.

Possible causes

• refund request başarısız/UNKNOWN,
• cancellation penalty,
• partial refund,
• FX farkı,
• settlement sonrası refund gecikmesi,
• duplicate refund protection,
• local ledger update başarısız.

Diagnosis

1. Original charge/capture amount'ı bulun.
2. Cancellation policy ve penalty'yi doğrulayın.
3. Refund attempt ID ve provider status çekin.
4. Partial refund history'yi toplayın.
5. Currency/original-settlement amount'ı ayırın.
6. Local ledger ile payment provider toplamlarını reconcile edin.

Recovery

Eksik refund için yeni request göndermeden önce mevcut attempt outcome'unu doğrulayın. Provider REFUNDED ise local ledger/state repair yapın; gerçek delta varsa policy'ye göre remaining refund veya ops escalation uygulayın.

Prevention

• operation-scoped idempotency,
• amount/currency breakdown,
• scheduled reconciliation,
• manual threshold.
